Mamo Drop in September 2026: Weekly MAMO Rewards and APY
Every Mamo Drop of September 2026 week by week, with Mamo's APY figures, deposits and the new fee strategies Mamo is testing on Aerodrome.
How the Mamo Drop works
Mamo, the app, sends 100% of its revenue to everyone who has deposited its token, MAMO, in the MAMO Account [1]. That revenue comes from trading fees on Aerodrome, the largest decentralized exchange on Base, the blockchain network built by Coinbase. It is paid out as Bitcoin and MAMO [1][2]. The Bitcoin arrives as cbBTC: Bitcoin on Base, backed 1:1 by BTC held in Coinbase custody [3].
Each Thursday at around 20:45 UTC, the fees collected over the previous seven days become the new drop. It then streams to depositors continuously until the next Thursday [1][4][5].
Mamo explains why the amount moves: "Each Mamo Drop depends on how much revenue came in that week, so the amount changes from week to week." [2]
The four September drops and their APY
The dollar amounts are Mamo's own figures unless noted. APY is the yearly rate Mamo quoted on the day given, and it moves with every drop. The amounts in cbBTC and MAMO come from the reward contract, which streams Bitcoin in whole satoshis per second (1 sat = 0.00000001 BTC) [4].
- 3 September: $5,583, the fees Mamo earned from 27 August to 3 September [5]. The contract streamed 7 sats per second plus 287,855 MAMO over the week [4]. Mamo showed 26.67% APY on 4 September [5].
- 10 September: $3,094, earned from 3 to 10 September [6]. 4 sats per second plus 135,243 MAMO [4]. Mamo showed 13.49% APY on 15 September, with 8.83% paid in Bitcoin [6].
- 17 September: 3 sats per second plus 31,849 MAMO [4]. Mamo showed 8% APY on 18 September [7]. For this week we calculated the dollar value ourselves: about $1,790 at CoinGecko prices from 22 September [8].
- 24 September: $4,465 [9]. 6 sats per second plus 180,165 MAMO [4]. Mamo showed 20% APY on 25 September [9].
The first October drop followed on 1 October: $4,757, again 6 sats per second, plus 208,254 MAMO [4][10]. Mamo showed 20.82% APY on 2 October [10].
After the two smaller drops in the middle of the month, the Bitcoin part of the drop doubled from 3 to 6 sats per second on 24 September and stayed there on 1 October. Six sats per second add up to 3,628,800 sats over a seven-day period [4].
More MAMO in the MAMO Account
Deposits rose from 143.6 million MAMO at the start of September to 150.4 million at the end of the month, a gain of 4.7% [4]. Part of that came from the 3,674,546 MAMO that Mamo distributed to USDC depositors, which went straight into their MAMO Accounts (more on that below) [2]. On 4 October the contract held 153.7 million deposited MAMO [4].
$647,800 shared with depositors by late September
On 28 September Mamo wrote: "To date, $647.8K in rewards has been shared with depositors." [11] The September update gives the same total of $647,800 as of late September and names TokenTerminal, a crypto data provider, as the source [2]. On 4 September the figure had stood at over $638K [5].
New ways to earn trading fees
"You asked for more rewards. I'm on it." Mamo wrote this on 10 September, announcing that it was testing new ways to collect more trading fees on Aerodrome [12]. On 18 September Mamo said it had moved a portion of the funds it uses to collect trading fees into new strategies [13]. The September update lists three strategies, which Mamo calls its new Bitcoin and Ethereum strategies, each with a live dashboard [2]:
In Mamo's words, the goal is "to collect more fees from trading activity, so there's more to share in each weekly Mamo Drop." Mamo also says plainly that this is a test: "Everything here is still being tested. Results vary and don't guarantee future rewards." [2] We like that the dashboards are public, so anyone can follow the results.
A thank-you to USDC depositors
In September, Mamo thanked the depositors of its USDC Account (USDC is a dollar stablecoin) for their patience with 3,674,546 MAMO [2][14]. Every USDC Account that held at least $10 in early September received 1 MAMO for each dollar deposited. The MAMO went straight into the MAMO Account, where it earns a share of the weekly drop [2]. Mamo called it a one-off, separate from the weekly Mamo Drop [2].
What comes next
On 23 September Mamo posted a short teaser: "Something new is coming." [15] The September update adds: "I've been working on something new behind the scenes. It's not quite ready to share, but I think you'll like where it's heading." [2]
On 2 October Mamo posted about tokenized stocks on Base: "Another day, another 26 stocks land on @Base. Only the beginning." [16] In August, founder Luke Youngblood shared gmamo, a "draft design of a new @mamo account type" built around tokenized stocks, which we covered in What's Next for Mamo [17]. Mamo has not said whether the new project is connected to either.
